Red Army plotted to kidnap Karl Lagerfeld

Is that not the most awesome headline you have ever read? According to the Guardian Newspaper, in the 1977, German terrorists planned to kidnap Unkle Karl. At the time he was the creative director of the French fashion house Chloe. The terrorists targeted Karl because of his large personal wealth and also because "he was a symbol of capitalism, which the group despised."

Poor Karl, he wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes as a hostage. He probably would have tried to distract them with his incredibly knowledge of over-locker sewing machines, and then when they weren't looking attack them with his fan.
