Unkle Karl- Pic of the week
I don't know what the hell is going on in this pic, but my first reaction was- is Karl presenting some sort of televised award?
"And the daytime Emmy for most convincing transsexual stalker in a lead role goes to..."
Then I realised that the woman he is standing so poutishly (is that even a word?...better check my fashion dictionary) next to is Princess Caroline of Monaco. This threw me a bit, but then I thought- it's not completely out of the realm of reason that they could have presented a televised award together. I mean I'm sure there has been stranger presenting partners in the history of award shows. Yet I don't think that's it. There seems to be more going on in this photo than meets the eye. The background is very cheap looking. it's almost something you would find at a glamour photographers studio in a shopping centre. Considering the girth of Karl, the photo looks like it was taken during his 'fat years'. Perhaps Princess Caroline and Karl were hoeing down on a plate of sweet and sour chicken at a food court when in an MSG induced moment of abandon, Karl decided they should capture their friendship with a photo. Suddenly spotting a 'Blush Portrait studio', out of the corner of his eye, he whisked the princess over for a 2-for-1 special.
Karl as usual is 'working it' in the pic. Caroline on the other hand seems worried. It's almost as if she's suddenly realised where they are, and what her life has become- stuck in a co-dependent friendship with a self absorbed gay man, where the only thing they have in common is their eating disorders...
I wonder if Caroline looks back at this pic and reminisces about how far they've both come? Karl's finally conquered his overeating (by under eating) and she's married a Portuguese circus acrobat. Isn't life wonderful!
